Out Of This World Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits (unsweetened, undrained)
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. red food coloring
1 (3 oz.) strawberry jello
4 bananas, sliced
1 (10-inch) deep dish pie shell
3 c. whipped topping
1 c. pecans or almonds, finely chopped
Preparation

Measure sugar and cornstarch into saucepan; mix well.
Add pineapple and juice.
Mix well so no lumps form.
Stir in pie filling and food color.
Use wood spoon.
Stir gently to avoid mashing.
Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is well thickened (about 5 to 8 minutes).
Remove from heat; stir in dry jello.
Let cool completely, then gently stir in banana slices.
Spoon mix into baked pie shells.
Cover top with whipped topping and nuts.
Refrigerate until set.
