Sweet Potato Surprise Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    4 Tbsp. hot water
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. grated raw sweet potato
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1/3 c. orange juice
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream the butter.
    Add sugar; cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks one at a time.
    Beat well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with orange juice; beat well.
    Add rind. Fold in egg whites.
    Put into two 9-inch cake pans and bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
