Steak With Green Peppercorns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 New York strip steak
    1 clove garlic
    1 rounded Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 jigger brandy or bourbon
    2 to 3 oz. half and half (milk or low-fat milk can be used)
    2 to 3 rounded tsp. Dijon mustard or to taste
    1 tsp. mashed green peppercorns *
Preparation
    *The canned variety, packed in brine, from Madagascar is best.
