24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, cut
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 c. shredded cheese
    1 c. mayonnaise
    small pkg. frozen peas
    1 medium purple onion, sliced
Preparation
    Layer lettuce pieces, peas, chestnuts, onion and cheese. After all is layered, cover with mayonnaise.
    Cover and put in refrigerator 24 hours before serving.
    Mix and serve.
