Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 large green peppers
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 small chopped onion
    2 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Cut a thin slice from top of peppers; remove seeds and wash. Cook peppers in boiling salt water, about 5 minutes; drain.
    Brown hamburger and onion; drain off grease.
    Mix together hamburger, egg, salt, pepper, rice and tomato sauce; stuff into peppers.
