Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
2 3/4 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (4 oz.) pkg. chocolate Kisses
powdered sugar
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar and lemon extract until light and fluffy.
Add flour and almonds.
Beat at low speed until well blended.
Cover; refrigerate 1 hour.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0. Shape tablespoon of dough around each candy Kiss, covering completely.
Roll in hands to form ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes, until edges are light brown.
Cool 1 minute.
