Spaghetti Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. spaghetti
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper
    1 well beaten egg
    1 medium diced onion
    1 small diced green pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 c. cottage cheese
    4 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
Preparation
    Break spaghetti into 2-inch pieces. Cook according to directions on package. Drain. Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan or glass dish. Stir in butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and egg until thoroughly combined and evenly spread in pan.
    Saute chuck, onion and pepper in oil until meat is browned.
    Drain.
    Stir in spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.
    Spread cottage cheese evenly over spaghetti. Top with meat mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle Mozzarella on top. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting in squares.
