Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 large onion, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
pinch of baking powder
1 egg
milk

Preparation

Mix together all but milk; then add enough milk to make a thick dough.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil until browned well.
Drain on paper towel.
Serve warm.
