Southern "Fried" Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large ears of corn
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    salt and pepper to taste
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Clean and desilk corn.
    Scrape corn from stalks.
    Get all milk and pulp out.
    Melt butter and bacon drippings in large skillet. Add remainder of ingredients.
    Simmer 30 to 45 minutes until corn thickens and is tender.
    Add more milk if too thick.
