Italian Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb. 3 oz.) can or your canned tomatoes
    1/4 c. olive or salad oil (I use 2 Tbsp. to cut fat)
    1 c. finely chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 sprigs parsley
    1 Tbsp. salt (I use less)
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Puree undrained tomatoes in blender.
    Put the tomatoes in a large pot.
    Add tomato paste and 1 1/2 cups water, parsley, basil, salt, sugar, oregano and pepper; mix well.
    Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered and stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
