Banana Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, separated
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sliced banana
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch.
    Add 1 1/2 cups milk. Cook in a double boiler until thickened.
    Beat yolks and add remaining milk.
    Add egg mixture slowly to custard and cook 2 more minutes.
    Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
