Lemon Sponge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    juice and rind of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar with creamed butter.
    Separate eggs and add yolks, milk, lemon juice and grated rind.
    Mix well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into the mixture and pour into individual custard cups or shallow baking dish.
    Place in a pan of water.
    Bake for 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Serve at room temperature or cold, plain or with whipped cream.
