Holiday Mashed Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. (about 12 medium) potatoes, peeled and cooked (hot)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1/4 c. finely chopped onions (optional)
    salt and pepper as desired
Preparation
    In a large bowl or pot, mash potatoes with mixer or by hand until lumps are removed.
    Add cream cheese in small pieces and butter.
    Beat well until cheese and butter are melted.
    Mix in the sour cream.
