Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. hot water
    pinch of salt
    pinch of cream of tartar
    2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook 1 cup of sugar and water to 242\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Pour slowly over egg whites.
    Cook 3 cups of sugar, corn syrup, hot water, salt and cream of tartar to 252\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Pour slowly over egg white mixture, beating well.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Drop on waxed paper.
