Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. superfine sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. flour (regular)
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar together until nicely blended.
Add flour, a little at a time, until incorporated into butter and sugar mixture, kneading the mixture all the time.
At point when flour is fully mixed, knead another 10 to 15 minutes.
(Best to make this in cool weather.)
Cut into half (the ball of flour mix).
Flatten out onto cookie sheet about 3/4-inch thick.
Flute the edges.
Prick with a fork all over the top crust.
Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
When the cookie sheet is put into the oven, reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
Remove from oven and cut into triangles.
Sprinkle top with sugar.
Put on cookie rack to cool.
