Manhattan Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground pork (sausage that isn't seasoned or mild)
    1 lb. ground beef or veal
    2 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. finely chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 (10 oz.) jar apricot preserves
    2 c. dark spicy barbecue sauce
    catsup and brown sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients; roll into balls (walnut size), then put on broiler rack and put in oven for 35 to 45 minutes at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
