Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. apples
    2 qt. water
    1 1/2 qt. cider or apple juice
    1 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Wash apples and grind into small bits.
    Cover with water and boil until soft.
    Bring cider (or juice) to a boil.
    Add apples, sugar and spices.
    Cook 20 minutes more or until thick.
    Can be put into a crock-pot to cook slow until thick.
