Cherry Cheese Torte (Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 can cherry pie filling
    2/3 c. sugar
    11 oz. cream cheese
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Make cake as directed on package.
    Bake in two 9-inch round pans.
    Soften cream cheese.
    Add all ingredients except the cherries.
    Split each layer into two thin layers.
    Spread 1/2 cup cream mixture and 1/2 cup cherries between each layer and on top. Store cake in refrigerator.
