Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    rind from 1 orange
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. plus 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    dash of salt
    2 eggs
    juice from 1 orange
Preparation
    In food processor, grind raisins and orange rind.
    Mix with buttermilk.
    In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, shortening and salt.
    Combine dry ingredients with fruit and milk mixture and beat 1 1/2 minutes with electric mixer.
    Add eggs and beat another 1 1/2 minutes.
    Pour into large greased pan and bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.
