Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 medium size potatoes
8 to 12 slices bacon
1/3 c. bacon drippings
2 Tbsp. flour
6 rounded tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
pepper
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 large sliced red onion
Preparation

Boil potatoes in their skins until tender.
Peel and slice thinly.
Broil bacon until crisp.
In skillet, heat 1/3 cup of bacon drippings.
Add flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Mix together vinegar and water.
Stir and gradually add vinegar and water to bacon fat mixture.
Cook until thickened.
Pour mixture over potatoes.
Add onion and the crumbled bacon.
Stir through.
Serve warm.
