Christmas Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. melted shortening or salad oil
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend sugar and shortening; stir in eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift flour, cream of tartar and salt.
    Add to shortening mixture.
    Mix well.
    Drop by level tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
    Decorate with colored sprinkles, etc., after flattening with bottom of glass.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
