Soft Dutch Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
4 c. flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups of warm water.
Add sugar and salt.
Add flour and mix thoroughly.
Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead until smooth (5 minutes).
Roll into circle and divide into 8 pieces.
Roll each piece until 12 to 15 inches long, thin as a pencil and shape into pretzel.
Place foil on cookie sheet (shiny side up).
Beat 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water and baste onto pretzels.
Sprinkle with salt.
Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 8 pretzels.
