Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Add flour gradually while beating the mixture.
    Add chopped nuts, then vanilla.
    Shape into a loaf.
    Let stand in icebox until it can be sliced (couple of hours).
    Slice and bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
