Cake Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Preparation

Mix brown sugar, flour and butter.
(Reserve 1 cup of this for the topping.)
Beat egg, salt, vanilla, baking soda and milk.
Add brown sugar mixture that is left in the bowl and mix well.
