Corn Bisque With Clams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon, diced
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. half and half
    2 c. (17 oz.) cream-style corn
    2 (8 oz.) bottles clam juice
    1 Tbsp. sherry (optional)
    6 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
    1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
    6 or 7 dashes hot pepper sauce
Preparation
    Cook bacon.
    Add flour to drippings in pot; stir over medium heat until mixture bubbles.
    Slowly whisk in half and half. Stirring constantly, bring to boil.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir to blend.
    Simmer, do not boil, for 1 to 2 minutes, until flavors have blended.
    Ladle into mugs. Sprinkle bacon on top.
    Makes 12 cups.
