Buttermilk Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Place dry ingredients in bowl.
    Combine eggs and buttermilk. Stir into flour mixture.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add shortening. Bake on hot griddle.
    Makes about 18 (4-inch) pancakes.
