Teatime Tassies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sifted enriched flour
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. coarsely broken pecan pieces
    1 egg
Preparation
    Cheese Pastry:
    Let cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter soften at room temperature, blend.
    Stir in flour.
    Chill slightly; about 1 hour or longer.
    Shape in 2 dozen 1-inch balls.
    Place in ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin cups.
    Press dough on bottom and sides of cups.
