Ingredients

1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
dash of salt
5 Tbsp. (1/3 c.) lemon juice
grated rind of lemon (1/2 tsp. dry)
3 egg yolks, well beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
3 egg whites, beaten stiff
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Blend sugar, flour and salt to butter.
Add lemon juice and rind, blending well.
Mix egg yolks and milk.
Combine with sugar and lemon mixture.
Fold in egg whites and pour into buttered casserole (2-quart).
Place in pan of almost boiling water and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes or until golden on top.
Put Cool Whip on at serving time.
