Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    2 c. 100% Bran (Nabisco)
    2 c. boiling water
    4 c. All-Bran (Kellogg's)
Preparation
    Mix together the first 3 ingredients, then add shortening, sugar, eggs and buttermilk.
    In another bowl, mix the 100% Bran and boiling water.
    Fold in the All-Bran, then add to the mixture.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Can add dry fruit, nuts, etc.
    Mix at least one day ahead of use.
    Batter keeps 4 weeks in sealed container.
