Poppy Seed Pound Cake - cooking recipe

6 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. Carnation evaporated milk
1 c. Crisco and 1 stick oleo
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 pinch of salt
1/2 c. poppy seed
Preparation

Cream Crisco and oleo well.
Add sugar slowly, creaming well. Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each one.
Add 1/2 cup milk. Add flour, remaining milk and poppy seed alternately beating at low speed.
Add salt and flavoring.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours. Ovens may vary, so baking time may vary.
Take from oven.
Let sit on wire rack 5 minutes.
Turn out on cake rack.
