Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    onions
    fresh dill
    cucumbers
    1 qt. white vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt (not iodized)
Preparation
    Put 1 to 3 slices of onions in bottom of quart jar, 1 flower and/or stems of dill in bottom.
    Cut cucumbers lengthwise and pack in jar on end.
    Put 1 to 2 slices onion on top of jar.
    Put 1 piece dill on top of jar.
