Picadillo(Spicy Meat Hash) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2 lb. ground meat (pork, chuck, round, etc. or a combination)
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 large apple, peeled and chopped
    4 Tbsp. beef stock
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    4 tomatoes, chopped
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    3/4 c. raisins
    3/4 c. whole pine nuts or blanched slivered almonds
Preparation
    Saute garlic, onion and pepper in oil for 5 minutes, then add meat and stir until cooked through (approximately 5 minutes). Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 3 minutes. Use mixture in tortilla shells, empanadas, omelets or just serve with rice. Makes 7 cups. Will fill approximately 12 shells.
