English Crumpets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    3 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/2 cake yeast (1/2 Tbsp. granular yeast)
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Add flour to lukewarm milk.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add salt, butter and yeast.
    Beat well.
    Let rise until double.
    Place greased muffin rings on hot griddle (1/2 fill with dough); cook until batter sets, then turn.
    Makes 24 Crumpets.
