Chocolate Sundae Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. each: soda and salt
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 unbeaten egg
    1/4 c. maraschino cherry juice
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/4 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
    18 marshmallows, cut in half
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 blocks Hershey's chocolate
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Sift together first 3 ingredients; set aside.
    Add brown sugar to shortening.
    Blend in egg.
    Stir in half the dry ingredients. Add cherry juice and 2 tablespoons milk; stir in remaining dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Blend in chocolate, walnuts and cherries. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Cut marshmallows in half and place on hot cookies.
