Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
    1 (1 oz.) pkg. Ranch dressing mix
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy (undrained)
    3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans undrained kidney beans
    1 (15 oz.) can undrained pinto beans
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown meat with onion and green chilies in Dutch oven.
    Drain off excess oil.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer 30 minutes.
    Makes 10 servings.
    Add bread and a salad to make a quick, filling and warm meal on a cold day!
