Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. long grain rice
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/3 c. finely chopped onion
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder (not garlic salt)
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin (can use a little less)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    liquids to equal 6 c. (from ingredients below, in order given)
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
    3/4 c. tomato sauce
    enough water to equal 6 c. liquid total
    1/4 c. frozen peas (unthawed)
    1/4 c. fresh grated carrots
    1/4 c. frozen corn
Preparation
    Adds color and vitamins.
    Can reheat in microwave.
