Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. ribbon cane syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, mix sugar, oil and syrup.
Add beaten eggs; mix well.
Add soda mixture, flour and spices, stirring constantly.
Add boiling water, beating until smooth.
Pour into greased baking pan.
Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
