Joe Terry'S Moist Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. applesauce (or apple butter and cut sugar to 1/2 c.)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
May add raisins or nuts, if desired.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
