Apple Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    enough water to make pastry
Preparation
    Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick.
    Spread 2 cups chopped raw apples over dough and roll up like a jelly roll.
    Cut into 1-inch rounds and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour this sauce over all and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
