Polish Russian Dill Pickles(Hot) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. cukes, cut into chunks
    2 cloves garlic, cut up
    2 Tbsp. powdered alum
    2 Tbsp. pickling salt
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
    2 Tbsp. dill seed
    1 to 2 Tbsp. red chili pepper (dried), crushed
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. water
    2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Boil all but cukes for 3 minutes.
    Put cukes in jars; pour hot mixture over bottled cukes and seal as for regular dills.
    Add extra garlic and fresh hot pepper per jar for extra dip, if desired.
    Process in hot water bath for 20 minutes.
    Makes about 6 pints.
