Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream the butter and shortening together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and gradually cream in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
