Sloppy Joes For 80 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

15 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. butter
2 qt. tomato sauce
46 oz. can tomato juice
2 c. catsup
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 Tbsp. white pepper
1 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
Drain and set aside.
In large skillet, cook hamburger, stirring constantly, until browned.
Drain well.
Using large kettle, combine hamburger, onion and pepper.
Add rest of ingredients and simmer 1 hour.
(Best if made day ahead.
Remove all solidified fat before reheating.)
Quick cool in ice bath before refrigerating.
