Cocoa Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Spread in well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Yields 4 dozen.
