Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    dash of salt
    4 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    vanilla wafers
    5 to 6 ripe bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Combine 1/2 cup of the sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler.
    Add one whole egg and 3 yolks (whites for meringue). Stir in milk.
    Cook, uncovered, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Layer mixture and wafers and banana slices in 1 1/2-quart casserole, ending with custard.
    Beat whites with remaining sugar until stiff peaks. Pile on top of pudding surface.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 5 minutes or until browned.
