Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cooked apples, each cut in fourths
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar or 1/3 to 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Heat apples and water to boiling over medium heat; reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally to break up apples, until tender, 5 to 10 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boil.
    Boil and stir for 1 minute.
    Makes 4 servings (1 cup each).
    Each serving contains 190 calories.
