Sausage Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. white cornmeal
    1/4 c. vegetable shortening
    3/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. milk
    1 lb. hot sausage, at room temperature
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening until coarse crumbs form.
    Add milk.
    Mix well.
    Knead dough about 1 minute on floured surface.
    Divide dough into 2 parts.
    Roll each into 1/4-inch thick squares.
    Spread each with 1/2 pound sausage.
    Roll up from one end.
    Refrigerate 1 hour.
