1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. hot water
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream the Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add soda to hot water, then add to buttermilk. Combine flour and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon and almond flavorings.
Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool cake in pan 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove from pan. Cool completely.
