Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 sleeve saltine crackers, crushed
    3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    2 c. finely chopped Vidalia onions
    2 eggs, beaten
    salt and pepper to taste
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Place crackers in bottom of pie plate (1/4-inch thick).
    Pour melted margarine over cracker crumbs in pie plate.
    Saute onions in 2 tablespoons margarine until clear.
    To eggs, add milk, salt and pepper.
    Add cheese and onions; stir.
    Pour over cracker crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Check for doneness.
    Let set before serving.
    Serves 8 small pieces.
