Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Pour brown sugar and boiling water in a 9 x 13-inch dish. Stir until dissolved.
    Mix rest of ingredients in a bowl.
    Gently spoon mixture onto dissolved brown sugar.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
