Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    6 tsp. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Place all ingredients except soda in heavy pan (iron frying pan does best).
    Cook until about 12 peanuts pop or syrup starts to crack in cold water.
    (If using candy thermometer, 294\u00b0.)
    Remove from heat, stir in soda.
    Pour out on greased cookie sheet.
    Cool. Crack into pieces.
